Have you ever been in a store or restaurant, and wished that you could change the Muzak droning in the background?

MIT Sloan School of Management
alum Garrett Dodge has, and his Rockbot app aims to “evolve the way bars, restaurants, gyms and entertainment venues create personalized, social music experiences for every customer.”

The idea for Rockbot came from Ketu Patel, its co-founder and CTO, in late 2010. While bowling in his hometown, Patel wanted to change the song but didn’t feel like walking to the other side of the bowling alley to do it. He thought there should be an app for that.
